On New Years Eve, I had the pleasure of gathering with my closest friends.  That night, I met for the second time my friend's partner, who works for Channel 10.  During one of our conversations that evening, I mentioned this upcoming exhibit in Miami, Calle Ocho, and I took the opportunity to ask him if he would be interested in featuring our exhibit in the news prior to the event. He gave me his phone number and e-mail address, and told me to send him the information!  This morning while at work, I received a call from Channel 10, telling me that our exhibit will be featured in the Friday morning news broadcast!  If you would like to catch a glimpse before the opening, watch Channel 10 for our feature sometime between 6 and 7 am.
See you in Calle Ocho, mis amigos.

Hi everyone, I'm back again.  As I told you before, we will soon be having our next exhibit in Miami, Calle Ocho, and this Sunday we are taking all our art works to the gallery to stage them.

In addition to providing space for exhibits, this gallery also offers a variety of home decor items in arrangements that complement the art. Please visit their web site at http://www.ancienttimescollection.com.  Here is an excerpt from their site:

At Ancient Times Collection we offer a plethora of beautiful and unique home accents, and gift ideas.  We do procurement of high end pieces, be it original art from local and national artists, to antiques and fine reproduction pieces.  We also represent an extensive line of organic lighting created from all natural materials.  Our store offers home decor consultations as well as referral services to accredited A.S.I.D. designers.  Ancient Times Collection is a one stop concept store for any kind of budget or project size.

Introducing now with us is a fantastic line of 100% outdoor friendly furniture, made from H.G.P. plastic.  H.G.P. stands for High Grade Polymer, and what this product offers is full ultra violet protection from the rays of the sun, which can with time change the color of the piece.  Also the product goes through a color bonding process.  Simply put, bring on the kids, the family, and the dogs.  If the product gets scratched, nicked, or scraped the color is the same straight through the fiver.  This will give you years of use on the furniture, and still remain fresh and new to the eye.  All our pieces are designed locally and with the utmost care to detail and the newest fashion forward styles for your home.  We look forward to having them here as much as passing them on to their new dwellings.

The news has spread in Miami that we have “organic lighting”.  No we did not grow light-bulbs or harvest fluorescent fruits and veggies.  Organic lighting is the terminology we use to describe our beautiful and quite unique lighting fixtures.  The design and concept of these lighting fixtures give the illusion of plants coming alive with an inner glow inside them.  The materials: mango leaves, coconut fivers, nut shells and other eco friendly plants and trees used add to the feeling of being surrounded by nature in a glowing embrace.   Come and experience what we have cultivated for your home lighting needs.

To those who have just bought their first home or are redoing an old family estate we offer a full home décor consultation service.  We will help you pick out the right colors, the right curtains, space planning, furniture to room scale, wall art placement, and the very important lighting accessories for both ambient and task lighting.  Ultimately we want you to be happy in your new home.  We do not decorate for our taste, we simply enhance yours.

So we bid you a fond welcome to our online concept store/website, where we can begin a journey of learning together.  Remember the ending is important, but the journey you make to get there, can be exciting and filled with a lot of surprises.

Happy 2009
and thank you for your loyal support.

I am part of a diverse group of artists holding an exhibit at Ancient Times Collection Gallery
in Miami, located at the corner of Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street) & 57th Avenue, on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 7 - 11 PM.

The idea for this exhibit came about when fellow artist Carmen Cordero (Figurative Abstract) and I attended an exhibit at Xinco Art Studio in North Miami.  There, we met Valentin Alvarez del Campo, artist and Art Director  and Set Designer of Ancient Times Collection Gallery.  While discussing the art, we learned that this gallery would be available for this month, and thus our exhibit was born!

The fun part was gathering the 10 artists who will participate in this exhibit, and we are:

. Angel Giraldo            (Abstract)
. Adriano Nicot            (Abstract)
. Dario Calleros           (Abstract)
. Eduardo Garcia          (Abstract)
. Gustavo Lombo         (Abstract)
. Julio Green                 (Abstract)
. Pedro Wilson              (Abstract)
. Carmen Cordero        (Figurative Abstract)
. Simone Spade            (Figurative Abstract)
. Lil Alberti                  (Photographer)

You can find all our web sites at the links in the navigation bar on my web site.
Talk to you later and update you about the exhibit.
